Marshall SV20H valve head, 20 W, tested and operational, dimensions 50 cm wide by 24 cm high by 23 cm deep, includes power cable.
Description from the seller
Marshall Studio Vintage SV20H valve head housing the legendary roaring tone of the 1959 Super Lead "Plexi" in a compact, 20W format, perfect for both the recording studio and the stage. All-tube (combining 3 x ECC83 and 2 x EL34), it offers the option to drop power to 5W to achieve a creamy, rich saturation even at bedroom-level volumes.
It features the classic 4 inputs for the legendary patching of the channels and an integrated effects loop.
Founded in London in 1962 by Jim Marshall (known as "The Father of Loud"), the company has literally shaped the sound of rock music. Born to satisfy the demand of young guitarists of the time who sought a louder, more distorted and aggressive sound than the American amplifiers of the era, Marshall created stacks that became the visual and sonic symbol of rock 'n' roll in the world’s biggest stadiums.
The original 1959 SLP circuit that this SV20H head is inspired by was the fundamental cornerstone of the gear of immortal legends. By purchasing this head, you connect directly to the sonic DNA of:
• Jimi Hendrix: who redefined how to play the electric guitar exactly through his Plexi walls.
• Jimmy Page (Led Zeppelin): who carved the most iconic riffs in rock history with the natural saturation of these amplifiers.
• Angus Young (AC/DC): whose pure, crunchy, sharp, effects-free sound is the emblem of the Marshall Plexi itself.
• Slash (Guns N' Roses), Eric Clapton (during the Cream era) and Eddie Van Halen: who built their historic and revolutionary "Guitar Tone" on this same valve architecture.
Auction conditions:
The amplifier presents excellent cosmetic and functional condition, as good as new. Tubes still lively and performing at 100%. Shipped with power cord included. Professional packaging and worldwide insured shipping.
Purchased by my son for €930, I am selling it as he has moved abroad to live.
