John Bolt

Architect Martine Bedin was one of the founders of the Memphis group. 
She designed this lamp in 1981, which has an exceptionally playful design, which can be pulled along by a cord, like a dog. 
The lamp was an instant worldwide smashing success. 
Martine Bedin designed a few more pieces for the Memphis Group, including the Ettore Sotsass.
The lamp was part of the recently auctioned Memphis collection from David Bowie. 

The lamp is in mint condition, in original box.
Produced by the Memphis-Milano Design Group.
Size: approx. 30 x 45 cm

Including light sources. They provide a lovely, not too bright light, but can of course be adjusted to your own taste. 

PLEASE NOTE: This is NOT an original lamp from 1981, but a new production.  Since the '90s, the Memphis-Milano Design Group from Italy has taken a large number of original designs from the old Memphis Group and has reproduced them with permission from their designers.  The original designs had become rare and by reproducing them, the designs became accessible for a larger audience.  Please take a look at their site, Memphis-Milano.org, to get a good impression of their products.  Thus, the lamp is an original, but it is new.

The lamp will be sent registered and well-packaged.
