Artifort Sandwich sofa (model 750) designed by Peter van der Ham in 1985. In 1985, Peter van der Ham exhibited a sofa, for which he was looking for a producer, in the dome of the Metz & Co department store in Amsterdam.  The Artifort company showed an interest in the design, in which the upholstered backrest is clamped between the painted armrests. The model was brought on the market a year later, under the name Sandwich. This sofa dates from 1986. A nice detail is that I received the original purchase receipt to go with it.  This sofa is still in good condition, considering its age, minimal signs of wear on the armrests and some discolouration in the fabric of the seat cushion (see photos). The sofa has a high seating comfort. The seat cushion is not attached to the sofa, and can easily be reupholstered, if so desired.  The seat height is 42 cm and the seat depth is 57 cm.
