Marquis de l'air d'oiseaux

Interestingly, there was never a Marquis de l'air d'oiseaux. It is supposed to be a pseudonym used by a luthier named Charles Claudot II for his violins. The humorous translation could be: margrave of the birds in the sky. This violin is a successful example of many violins with this name.

The violin has been restored in collaboration with a master luthier. The violin is cleaned, the original painting has been polished again. An essential part of the restoration is to optimize the sound character of the violin continuously and carefully so that the violin finds its own voice. The qualitative bridge is new, it agrees with the new sound post, perfectly cut and placed. Good stringing.
