Gabriele Minelli

Vintage Persian / Iranian, Pateh Kerman, hand-embroidered (needlework) cloth.

This embroidery is traditionally made by Iranian women. Manufacturing a piece like this takes many months of work -the embroidery is incredibly detailed.

Wool (hand-woven and -dyed) on cream-coloured hand-woven and -painted woollen surface.

Dimensions: 1.02 x 1.14 m.

In perfect new condition, without damage, repairs or stains. It would, however, benefit from a dry cleaning (dusty storage smell).

Please note: can not be washed because of the vegetable dyed wool. Not suitable for use on the floor.

This object was imported from Iran before 1 January 2015 into the EU.
