This is a Bronze memorial plaque awarded to the family of Private George Henry Sculthorpe who was killed in action in 1915.

This award become commonly known as the *Dead Man's Penny*

This example is in very good condition and uncleaned. However the 2 high points of the front of the medal on the lions haunches have had a little of the patina wiped away by having other items placed on top I assume.. However the plaque shows no signs of wear and no scratches or dents are present.

The reverse is in good condition with no scratches. There is a residue left from where at some stage a label had been affixed to it. This will I am sure clean off easily  but I would prefer to leave the medal as is for sale.

Will be posted with a tracking  number or collection in Dublin, Ireland
