Polea en madera y hierro forjado. De colección privada de importantes piezas de forja de alta época, (otras piezas de la misma colección también están siendo puestas a subasta) Acorde al coleccionista, y anterior propietario, se trata de una polea para la llamada Garrucha, eso es, el martirio aplicado mediante colgar al reo por el pulgar o los brazos. Instrumento bastante simple y utilizado por la Inquisición. Efectivamente: La garrucha (de garrucha, polea) es una modalidad de tortura que consistía en atar las manos del condenado a la espalda, y tras esto, izarlo lentamente mediante una polea, normalmente situada en el techo. Luego se le dejaba caer con violencia, pero sin que llegara a tocar el suelo. La maniobra solía significar la dislocación de las extremidades superiores del condenado. Si el peso del cuerpo no fuera suficiente se podía añadir, colgando de los pies, un peso adicional. La construcción y sus características, así como la procedencia, indican que indudablemente la pieza es de la época y que seguramente fuere utilizada para tal fin. Con señales de uso, grietas en la madera y pátina generalizada. 22,5 x 16 x 9 cm.  *Sólo se envía dentro de la UE.
