This - one owner - car has a special history. It has demonstrably been owned for 39 years by an Air Force One pilot who used the vehicle to drive from his heated garage to the air-conditioned private pilot parking of the presidential aircraft. We have personally viewed and purchased the car amid special memorabilia of photos of presidents with the pilot, in the presence of the pilot.

What makes this BMW 6 Series of the E24 assortment, the 'Sharknose', so special: 

The still beautiful appearance! The 'Sharknose' with rear-wheel drive, a marvellous 6-cylinder car. And then the elongated coupé line. The only correct phrase that covers all of this is: timeless beauty.

The first E24 was born in Munich in 1976. All the first models were manufactured as 630 CS and 633 CSi. It was not until 1983 that BMW put the icing on the cake and the legendary M1 block made its way into the Series 6.  

Ultimately, the coupe was manufactured until almost the 1990s.
