One of the first 350 SL models, built in October 1971 and delivered in 1972, is available for sale. The 350 SL with a 4.5-litre engine was offered exclusively in the USA. The 4.5-litre engine was much more powerful and self-confident than the 3.5-litre European version, making it a sought-after engine variant.

The car was imported from the USA, cleared customs and restored by myself. The fresh paint in original Mercedes surf blue harmonises perfectly with the beige leather. All gaskets were replaced during the painstaking process, which also included the engine compartment. Mechanically, the car has been overhauled: suspension, brakes, fuel tank, radiator, steering gear and more have been renewed. 

The headlights were replaced with original European Bosch headlights. The speedometer has also been replaced with a European model showing the distance in kilometres. The car comes with a new service and is in excellent technical condition. Air conditioning is fitted but currently inactive. 
The original hardtop is also included.
