Het ontwerp van deze waterketel is van Philippe Starck uit 1987 en heeft geresulteerd in een zeldzaam verbazingwekkend maar ook erg onpraktisch object. De ontwerper vond het uiteindelijk zijn epische mislukking maar desondanks heeft dit ontwerp een plaats gekregen in het MOMA in New York.
Het materiaal van het lichaam is geborsteld aluminium en de vul en schenktuit zijn van kunststof en zijn gescheiden door een vulmechanisme. De kleur is volledig antraciet.
Het betreft een gelimiteerde uitgave. De hot bertaa is in 1997 ook uit productie is genomen. Vooral geschikt als decoratief object.
