De zithoogte bedraagt 43 centimeter. Het design heeft een lichtgrijs stalen frame met een kern bestaande uit een mix van CFK-vrij polyurethaanschuim en polyester. 

De Maralunga ('all time favourite') is een zeer comfortabel tijdloze meubel ontworpen door Vico Magistretti voor Cassina. Dit model is uitgegroeid tot een bekende designklassieker die zelfs is opgenomen door het New Yorkse Museum of Modern Art. De rug van de Maralunga is omhoog te klappen waardoor er een comfortabele hoge rugleuning ontstaat. Door de rug weer omlaag te vouwen wordt visueel direct weer ruimte gecreëerd, het zicht wordt dan niet meer belemmerd door de hoge rugleuning. Een fantastische oplossing die niet onderdoet aan het comfort van de bank!

Maralunga van Cassina is een van de meest emblematische Italiaanse designbanken dat generaties ontwerpers heeft geïnspireerd. Oorspronkelijk ontworpen in 1974 door de gerenommeerde Italiaanse designer en architect Vico Magistretti (1920 – 2006) en nog steeds een onbetwistbare internationale bestseller. Magistretti zocht naar een ontwerp dat volledig voldeed aan zijn hoge eisen voor extreem comfort: een omhelzing van een warm en comfortabel zitmeubel. Vanuit deze gedachte ontstond de ongeëvenaarde sofa Maralunga uit de iContemporanei collectie, winnaar van de Compasso D’Oro in 1979.
