Heerlijk rijdbaar, en bijzonder leuk, deze Volvo PV444ES uit 1953, met de voorruit splitwindow en origineel uitgevoerd als “sportievere” versie, dus met maroon-rode lak en rood-beige bekleding. 

De auto heeft een Zweedse (afgemelde) registratie, en kan op wens en zonder extra kosten met EU export papieren worden afgeleverd, zodat een buitenlandse nieuwe eigenaar de Volvo gemakkelijk kan registreren. 

De auto start prima, rookt niet, en rijdt, remt en schakelt heerlijk. De auto is in Zweden feitelijk altijd in gebruik geweest, en ook vanwege het goede onderhoud daardoor prima rijdbaar.

De auto wordt geleverd met een verzameling oudere keuringsrapporten. De auto is onlangs 270 km naar ons Zweedse depot gereden en functioneerde prima. 

Conditiebeoordeling technische staat: Omdat de auto regelmatig gebruikt is en zijn onderhoud heeft gehad, is de PV bijzonder gemakkelijk te rijden. Hij rijdt zoals een 70-jarige Volvo moet rijden, en is onlangs voorzien van goede whitewall banden. De 6V installatie werkt prima, ook de accu is in goede toestand.

Conditie interieur: Het interieur van de auto is compleet en zeer fraai. Er wordt een extra stoelbekleding meegeleverd, en de laatste eigenaar heeft altijd een soort van schapenvacht op de bestuurdersstoel gehad. Dit zorgde ervoor dat de originele bekleding van de bestuurdersstoel zeer mooi is gebleven. Jaren geleden zijn nieuwere rubberen matten en een nieuwe hemelbekleding gemonteerd. De zijkanten van de deurpanelen zijn licht versleten en gebogen aan de onderranden. Het dashboard is compleet en het instrumentarium werkt, de 4 meters geven goed aan, het stuur heeft enkele scheurtjes. 

Conditie exterieur: De carrosserie van de auto is over het algemeen goed, maar vertoont tekenen van veroudering. Het lakwerk kan wel een goede poetsbeurt gebruiken, en is hier en daar bijgewerkt, en heeft op enkele plaatsen kleine blaasjes in de lak. Zie de fotos. Sommigen noemen het patina. Het chroom is compleet en in erg nette toestand.  

De onderzijde is in goede en nette toestand, overeenkomstig met een netjes onderhouden PV uit 1953

Algemene staat: Ideaal voor iemand die een klassieke PV wil kopen en ervan wil genieten zoals hij is. De mogelijkheid om cosmetische problemen in de loop van de tijd geleidelijk aan aan te pakken, bestaat uiteraard, ook al is dit niet urgent. Diverse reservedelen worden meegeleverd. 

De auto staat in Hengevelde Nederland en kan hier vanzelfsprekend worden opgehaald. De auto kan tegen meerprijs van 150 euro worden bezorgd (excl. De Waddeneilanden)
