Jeep - CJ5 Super Jeep - 1973

Very rare 1973 Jeep CJ5 in SUPER JEEP set-up. One of the 300 Super Jeeps produced in 1973, the only year this set-up was available. This Jeep is the rarest CJ model ever produced. It has the powerful 150 hp V8 304 ci engine. The Jeep is in driving condition and mechanically in good condition, the engine runs very well and starts at the first try. 3-speed manual transmission, brakes, reducer, axles with a ratio of 3.73, electrical system and power steering: everything works well. The chassis is solid but needs a complete restoration. The body is rusted through on the front floor and on the front wings. There are traces of rust all over the body (as shown in the photos), but the most important damages are on the front wings and on the front floors. The Jetset Blue Metallic paint and the stickers are still the original ones. This Jeep has never been repainted. It still has all the original plates. The (SSR&O) D5596 code on the plate indicates the Super Jeep set-up. The front and rear seats are original but with a wrong upholstery. Non-original bull bar. Original rims with new tyres of the correct size L78r15. The rims were sandblasted, brushed and powder-coated in the original white colour. Both new front floors will be supplied with the car. The purchase and restoration of this Jeep will allow you to own a collector’s vehicle that is very rare to find even in the United States. The car is located in Rome and has an American title; the taxes were paid in Italy. This is a great investment for a vehicle that is not easy to find for sale given its limited edition.
