Mercedes E220 Cabriolet Sportline manual from 1994, 150 PS, petrol, Black, German registration, VIN WDB 124062 1C 178726, matching numbers and colours, 181,200 km, full service history, MOT valid to 2026, very good overall condition.
Description from the seller
A Mercedes collection would be incomplete without: Mercedes A124 Cabriolet (full four-seater!).
Manual transmission with the very economical and smooth-running 2.2 liter inline-four M111E22 (four valves per cylinder, EURO2), absolutely unmodified and completely checked, low mileage and very nice equipment (22 special features) in rare gloss black (Black 040). Collector’s condition.
Specification, equipment and general:
Mercedes A124 E220 Sportline, first delivery (pickup) on 13.09.1994 at the Mercedes plant Sindelfingen, first registration September 1994 in Düsseldorf, since 2002 continuously in Bavaria.
This beautiful Cabriolet was originally delivered on 13 September 1994 at the Mercedes plant Sindelfingen, previously given a day-licence by Mercedes Brüggemann (likely for registration purposes) and driven until 2002 in Düsseldorf. Since 2002 the car has been in Bavarian hands and was only used as a well-kept enthusiast’s vehicle in the summer (see annual mileage in the history).
It is an extraordinarily beautiful and well-maintained vehicle in the sought-after 'Sportline' equipment with leather steering wheel, leather gear lever and the attractive sport seats in a check pattern in truly immaculate condition (no signs of use, no wear).
The maintenance services in the first years were carried out exclusively accurately at Mercedes-Benz and afterwards more frequently than the prescribed mileage interval. The last service was at 175,829 km, although the service book would have scheduled it at 195,000 km. The service book with the original data card and the onboard folder with the original operating manual, etc. are of course complete (everything that belongs inside is present) and in as well-kept a condition as the vehicle itself. Non-smoker vehicle, no animals.
The technical inspection (Hauptuntersuchung) was renewed in September 2024 together with the appraisal for the classic registration (Oldtimer registration, H plate) and can optionally be registered as a classic with H license plate. Additionally, the jack points were freshly waxed before winter storage in September 2024.
The car is classified as Euro 2 based on a letter from Mercedes-Benz AG dated December 1995, which saves about €31 per year in vehicle tax compared to the H registration.
A trouble-free companion for the pleasant season.
Economical, comfortable, yet agile and also very suitable for long journeys.

HISTORY/OVERVIEW
Very beautiful original condition, see photos. Honest condition 2 to 2+ (rating 2 on the classic-analytics Professional-Check, 2+ on the ADAC oldtimer rating). Sportline models in this well-kept condition are hardly found anymore. Everything works perfectly, is appealing (non-smoker, no animals) and spotless. Unlike some MoPf 2 vehicles of the W124 series, this vehicle does not have a paint problem caused by contamination of the chassis bath with anaerobic bacteria during production.
Please note the attached photos and feel free to arrange a personal inspection.
