Achtergrond:
Naar het ontwerp van Paul Bracq rolden de eerste modellen van de E21 in 1975 van de productieband. De E21 reeks word gezien als de eerste echte 3-serie en gold als opvolger van de succesvolle 02-series. De modelreeks werd alleen als tweedeurs coupe geproduceerd en kon slechts alleen met benzinemotor worden besteld. In eerste instantie werden alle modellen met carburateur uitgevoerd maar vanaf eind 1975 introduceerde BMW de 320i met injectie. Productie liep uiteindelijk tot december 1983.

Het voertuig:
De door ons aangeboden auto werd origineel in België geleverd door BMW dealer Romein te Aalst en is van productie datum 02-12-1983. Daarmee zou het weleens één van de allerlaatst geproduceerde E21’s kunnen zijn. 

De afgelezen kilometerstand staat op 103247 km. Het voertuig is tevens afkomstig van eerste eigenaar, wat aantoonbaar is aan de hand van aanwezige documentatie. Dhr B. schaft de 315 uiteindelijk aan op 11-01-1984 bij Garage Romein en onderhoud zijn auto de volgende jaren met veel liefde, uiteindelijk tot aan zijn overlijden op 13-05-2005. 

Het voertuig word overgezet op naam van zijn echtgenote waarbij de originele nummerplaat BTH-385 werd behouden. Dit alles is zorgvuldig gedocumenteerd (aanwezig bij het voertuig). Begin 2022 is mevrouw naar een verzorgingstehuis verhuisd en heeft zij afstand moeten doen van haar auto. 

Exterieur:
Het exterieur is in extreem goede staat voor zijn leeftijd van 39 jaar. Het voertuig werd nooit gerestaureerd en daarmee ook niet overgespoten. Hij staat dus voor het overgrote deel in zijn originele lak, linksachter lijkt er ooit een deel gespoten te zijn. Op het eerste oog lijkt het voertuig in extreem goede staat. 

De originele stickers van Romein te Aalst zijn nog op de achterzijde terug te vinden.
De carrosserie is nog is goede staat, wat onder meer het resultaat is van een levenslang parkeren in een inpandige garage. Er zijn geen noemenswaardige roestplekken aan te merken. 

Zijn chroom accenten zijn in zeer goede staat zonder echte noemenswaardig heden. Voor-/ achterbumper & grille zijn allen in goede staat. Alle ruiten zijn voorzien van originele BMW logo’s, voornamelijk de voorruit lijkt daarmee nog de originele te zijn. Zijn koplampglazen zijn eveneens nog mooi helder en zonder steenslag.

De originele stalen velgen zijn voorzien van een nieuwe laag zilver zodat deze weer mooi tonen. Enige punt van aandacht is een kleine beschadiging op het rechter achter scherm dat is bijgewerkt (zichtbaar op de foto’s). 

Interieur:
Bij het openen van de bestuurdersportier toont zich een goed verzorgde auto. Het originele interieur met zijn Antrahzit [0120] bekleding is in goede staat. Wanneer we achter het stuur plaatsen nemen voelen we dat de stoel niet is doorgezakt en lezen een kilometerstand van 103247 af. 

De versnellingspook voelt goed aan en vertoond geen overmatige speling. De hemelbekleding is nog netjes en hangt niet door. Een radio is niet aanwezig en daarmee kunt u heerlijk genieten van echte motorgeluiden tijdens het rijden. 

Bij het openen van de kofferbak zien we direct dat het voertuig nog in originele staat is, zonder enige roestvorming of oude schades en/of reparaties. Het gereedschap set is nog compleet en in goede staat. 

Technisch:
Technisch is het voertuig uitgerust met zijn originele 1573cc M10 viercilinder lijnmotor en aangedreven door een Getrag 240 handgeschakelde 4-versnellingen. De motor start vlot op en loopt netjes, zelfs als hij langere tijd stil heeft gestaan.

Het onderhoud is in goede staat en daarmee is het voertuig ook gereed om direct van te genieten. Bij aflevering zal het voertuig worden voorzien van nieuwe accu.

De auto kan bezichtigd worden in Voorschoten, Nederland.
