ALGEMEEN:
Te koop aangeboden: een keurige en grotendeels originele Mercedes-Benz 280 SL (R107), gebouwd in november 1978 en voor het eerst geregistreerd in 1979. Kort na registratie werd deze klassieke roadster geëxporteerd naar Californië (VS), waar hij jarenlang onder het gunstige, droge klimaat bewaard is gebleven. Dit exemplaar combineert de betrouwbaarheid van de Mercedes-Benz techniek met de charme van een tijdloos ontwerp, en is een uitstekende kandidaat voor de verzamelaar of liefhebber.

CARROSSERIE / LAKWERK:
De carrosserie verkeert in goede, verzorgde staat, met hier en daar lichte gebruikerssporen passend bij de leeftijd van het voertuig. De auto is uitgevoerd in de chique en originele kleur Milan Brown metallic, een kleur die je zelden ziet en perfect past bij het karakter van de SL. De lak is enige tijd geleden professioneel opnieuw gespoten, met oog voor detail en behoud van het originele karakter.

Een belangrijk pluspunt: deze 280 SL is reeds voorzien van Europese bumpers en koplampen, wat het uiterlijk aanzienlijk verfijnt ten opzichte van de Amerikaanse uitvoering. Geen roest of structurele schade aanwezig – gewoon een nette en eerlijke klassieker.

TECHNISCH:
Onder de motorkap ligt de krachtige en betrouwbare 2.8 liter zes-in-lijn motor (M110), die mooi rustig en gelijkmatig loopt. De automatische transmissie schakelt soepel en zonder haperingen. De wagen is altijd met zorg behandeld en technisch in goede staat gehouden. De mechanica is grotendeels origineel gebleven en niet gemodificeerd.

INTERIEUR:
Het interieur is uitgevoerd in bruin leder en volledig origineel – een zeldzaamheid voor auto's van deze leeftijd. Ondanks zijn jaren is het interieur netjes bewaard gebleven, met een mooie patina en lichte gebruikssporen die getuigen van zorgvuldig gebruik. De auto is destijds af fabriek geleverd met stoelverwarming, een zeldzame en comfortabele optie in deze klasse. Dashboard, middenconsole, hemelbekleding en tapijt zijn allemaal origineel en in goede staat.

DOCUMENTEN:
Deze Mercedes-Benz 280 SL wordt geleverd met de nodige originele documenten, waaronder het Amerikaanse kenteken en exportpapieren. 

AFHALING:
De auto is per direct beschikbaar voor bezichtiging en afhaling op afspraak. Geïnteresseerden zijn van harte welkom om de wagen in alle rust te bekijken.
