This piece is a limited edition handmade sculptural lightwork by American artist Brittany Gould.

This hanging lightwork is made from Gold/copper mirrored polystyrene on transparent fabric. Because of the color and finish of the material, as well as the very unique design of the piece, beautiful yet subtle reflections shine on the wall and ceiling, creating a golden warm glow in the room. 

The piece is to be hung wire-in, and comes with ceiling canopy. 
Dimensions are approximate: 
60 cm x 60cm x 45 cm high 
Materials : Gold/Copper mirrored polystyrene , light element (for standard e26/e27 light bulb,  light cable (approx. 1m) , ceiling canopy , **lightbulb not included 

Note: This piece is a non-numbered limited edition lightwork with very few pieces . This piece was created by hand by the artist in 2024. 

The piece comes handsigned by the artist on the top of the piece , with a certificate of Authenticity as well as instructions for set up, and care. 

„BRITTANY GOULD makes complex geometric structures from cut and folded paper and plastic. Many of these structures, like this one, incorporate light – resulting in beautiful luminous sculptural works. Gould uses light as a tool to create imaginary space and shadows as a form of transient minimalism.”


ABOUT THE ARTIST:


Brittany Gould was born in Washington, D.C. in 1983. She studied Printmaking and got her BFA in Denver Colorado. In 2013, she moved to Berlin, Germany where she still lives- creating intricate and emotional sound, light and mixed media artworks- forming delicate sculptures, reliefs and wall installations that are reminiscent of natural forms, environments and landscapes.

Her work is displayed internationally in gallery exhibitions and permanently in public collections. Some notable permanent installations are on view at the Amazon Headquarters2 in Arlington VA USA(2023), the Ritz Carlton in Berlin(2018) , and the Porterhouse by Laris in Hong Kong(2016) among many more.
