PANORAMICA/CONDIZIONI
Dei quasi tre milioni di esemplari prodotti di Mercedes W124, della versione 320 ne sono stati prodotti circa 60000. Ancor meno della berlina che oggi è difficile da trovare in buone condizioni. 

Canto del cigno di questa versione, è sicuramente il motore a 6 cilindri, che, a differenza di quello visto sul modello 300 (sia coupè che berlina), aumenta sia l'alesaggio che la corsa oltre che incrementarne la cilindrata a 3199 cm3 per una potenza totale di 220 cv. Motore che era accoppiato esclusivamente ad un cambio manuale a cinque rapporti.

Per di più, stiamo parlando forse dell'unico esemplare in vendita in Italia e uno dei tre/quattro in Europa. 

L'auto è stata appena fatta lucidare per esaltarne le condizioni di carrozzeria e vernice che si sono perfettamente conservati nel tempo. Non ci sono graffi di nessun genere. Nessun punto da riprendere. Le plastiche esterne dei paraurti ( come ben visibili in foto) sono praticamente nuove, e sono quelle originali, mai sostituite. Tutti gli elementi esterni, dai fari ai fanali, ai listelli in ferro sopra ai paraurti sono esenti da difetti. 

Internamente l'unica cosa non originale è lo stereo che è stato sostituito dal precedente proprietario con uno più moderno per poter ascoltare musica nei formati più moderni. Per il resto tutta la componentistica interna è quella originale.

Sorprendono, ad esempio, le condizioni del legno del carrellino porta oggetti posto sotto il bracciolo del guidatore. Componente del tutto originale, non è mai stato sostituito e funziona alla perfezione. Apre, chiude e aggancia senza problemi. Ed è estremamente raro trovare modelli che non presentano tale difetto.

La pelle della tappezzeria è quella originale. Segnaliamo solo una piccola riparazione sul sedile del conducente nella parte sx dello schienale (è stata vulcanizzata ma si presenta molto bene). Per il resto la macchina non ha difetti da segnalare. I legni della plancia, la plastica del cruscotto, la strumentazione interna che funziona tutta senza problemi. Il cassettino porta oggetti che sembra nuovo. Le immagini ben evidenziano come tutti i punti critici di questo modello siano in ottime condizioni. La moquette ed anche i tappetini interni sono eccelsi.

Il volante, altro punto critico, è come nuovo. L'auto, pur avendo 160000 km, risulta essere sempre stata conservata con cura.

Ciliegina sulla torta il tettuccio apribile, che, insieme al motore a 6 cilindri ed al cambio meccanico, fanno della E 320 una macchina desiderabile da un punto di vista collezionistico ma anche di guidabilità e prestigio.

Se si guarda, ad esempio, ai posaceneri presenti nella vettura si evince come l'auto sia stata perfettamente conservata nel tempo. Non sono mai stati usati. Infatti è rimasta al chiuso ferma in una collezione privata per più di 10 anni. 

Anche i tagli degli sportelli, i battitacco ed i listelli sotto porta (ben visibili in foto) dimostrano l'eccezionalità dell'auto che proponiamo in vendita. Sono tutti originali, mai sostituiti ed in condizioni veramente superbe. 

Le guarnizioni, tutta la vetreria e le cerniere degli sportelli sono tutte originali. E tutte ottimamente funzionanti.

Il vano portabagagli è incredibilmente pulito e dotato di tutto il necessario. Dal tappetino originale, alla ruota di scorta (anch'essa originale) al crick ed il triangolo. Tutto perfetto.

Passando al motore possiamo dire che le immagini parlano da sole. Curato al minimo dettaglio con ancora attaccate le targhette Mercedes con cui la macchina usciva dal concessionario. 
Inutile dire che basta girare la chiave e partire. Non c'è nessun intervento da fare. Tutti i liquidi sono stato sostituiti, non ci sono perdite e sale su di giri che è una meraviglia.

Il sottoscocca anche dal canto suo denota l'ottimo stato della vettura. Non c'è alcuna traccia di ruggine e non è  mai stato oggetto di riparazioni. Marmitta e serbatoio sono quelli originali di primo impianto.

Auto splendida. Pronta da passaggio.
