Lagavulin 26 years Special Release 2021 is an absolute masterpiece from this iconic Islay distillery. This single malt whisky is inspired by a legend about a hidden treasure that was hidden on the Scottish island. It was a beautiful, ruby-red stone with an unmistakable shine. Due to the exposure to fire for several decades, this stone radiated warmth and a smoldering intensity; exactly like the whisky from Lagavulin also has. It is known that the Lagavulin 26 years is matured in a mix of Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez casks, which together makes this a true taste sensation.

The aroma is powerful with rich notes of sherry sweetness, smoke and peat. This develops into hints of figs that give it a tasty depth. Oily and warming in taste with an unmistakable sherry sweetness. Hints of salt, pepper, smoke and peat are also present.
