It's a unique modern object, hand-carved from a single piece of solid Oak Wood* with an interesting texture. Rich in numerous beautiful details.
Charred with fire (yakisugi**), stained with a natural black stain and waxed with natural wax. 

* (Oak is a long-lived material that does not rot when exposed to rain.
It's excellent to represent both inside and outside (in the garden or at the home entrance p. e.)

** (Yakisugi (焼杉) is a traditional Japanese method of wood preservation. By slightly charring the surface of the wood without combusting the whole piece, the wood becomes water-proof through the carbonisation and is thus more durable. It also protects against insects, as well as making the wood fire retardant.)
