Austin Healey 3000 MKII 1961

De Austin-Healey 3000 kwam in 1959 op de markt en de productie liep door tot in 1967. De 3000 werd de opvolger van zijn voorganger, de 100-6. Het voorgaande model had echter een motor met minder cilinderinhoud (2.6 liter) en minder pk’s, dit in vergelijking met de 3000 die voorzien is van een 3-liter motor. 

De Healey's waren destijds zeer succesvol tijdens races en rally's. Neem bijvoorbeeld BMC team rijder Pat Moss, de zus van sir Stirling Moss. Ze behaalde een 4e plaats in de Rally van Luik-Rome-Luik in België in een Austin-Healey 100/6 en won de eerste van haar vijf Europese Rallykampioenschappen voor dames. In 1960 behaalde Moss de algemene overwinning in Luik-Rome-Luik in een Austin-Healey 3000 en eindigde ze 2de in de Coupe des Alpes.

Onze Healey komt uit Oktober 1961 en is volledig gerestaureerd in 1994 door marktspecialist Kees Cardol in Nederland voor een veeleisende verzamelaar/rijder. Hij is nieuw geleverd in een Colorado Red (Colorado (Signal) Red: BMC code RD2, ICI code 3742), samen met een zwart interieur met rode bies. Bij de Healey zit een Heritage certificaat waaruit blijkt dat deze bijzondere Healey Matching Numbers & Matching colours is. Uniek is de originele Old english white hardtop, vandaag de dag een kostbare accessoire. De auto heeft deelgenomen aan een groot aantal milde wegrally's en stond regelmatig op het podium. Op de hardtop staan talloze stickers van deze rally's waar de Austin Healey mee aan heeft gedaan, zoals;

Recentelijk is de auto volledig opnieuw opgebouwd en gespoten met ongelooflijk veel aandacht voor detail op alle gebieden. Zodat hij weer klaar staat voor jaren lange nieuwe avonturen. 

De Healey is in bezit van veel interessante en leuke extra's, zoals bijvoorbeeld de rolbar achter de 2 voorstoelen, ventilatieopeningen in de voorschermen voor extra koeling, gewilde en zeldzame mistlampen gemonteerd op de voorscrout, net zoals sommige works auto's werden uitgevoerd. 

Nieuwe Multi spaak Dunlop velgen met Vredestijn Classic Sprint banden. Onder de auto zit er een sportieve side-pipe die de Healey een krachtig karakter geeft en meer bodemvrijheid. De Overdrive is bedienbaar achterop de versnellingspook en doormiddel van een knop op het dashboard. 

Ook praktisch voor de rally, is bijvoorbeeld de Halda Twinmaster en de Brantz Tripmaster. Onder de motorkap is er 123 elektronische ontsteking aanwezig, samen met K&N luchtfilters en 3 carburateurs! Toen de Healey naar Nederland kwam in 1994 was te zien dat hij een schadevrij verleden heeft gehad en dat de carrosserie roestvrij was gebleven. Dit kunt u terugvinden in de perfecte passingen van deuren, motorkap, kofferdeksel en schermen. Uniek voor een Healey!

Hij is in het bezit van een uitgebreide map vol historie met onder andere het Heritage Certificate , FIVA Indentity Card, een foto rapportage van de restauratie, keuringen en diverse facturen zijn aanwezig. Dit alles laat zien dat er goed gezorgd is voor deze Healey! Als laatst is er nog zowel een taxatierapport als een Dyno-rapport ter beschikking.

Een unieke Austin Healey 3000 die gelijk kan worden ingezet voor nieuwe avonturen!
