Signed on the plate lower margin.

Estampe Moderne's blind stamp on the bottom right corner.

Dimensions:

Condition: In overall good condition with soft handling creases at the edges and slight discoloration. Image very clean otherwise. Not framed.

 Published by Masson & Piazza, Paris.

Not unlike the "Maîtres de L'Affiche" series, "L'Estampe Moderne" was a portfolio printed between 1897-99, published by Imprimerie Champenois, Paris. It contained 24 monthly portfolios, with four original lithographs in each. Each was commissioned only for this series.

As well as Mucha, some of the contributing artists included Rhead, Meunier, Ibels, Steinlen, Willette and Grasset.
