Chevrolet Camaro LT uit 1975 die nog mooi origineel gebleven is. Helaas zijn de meeste exemplaren door de jaren heen uitgevoerd met verkeerde velgen, een luide sportuitlaat en spoilers. Dit exemplaar is na 50 jaar gelukkig nog zoals hij door de fabriek bedoeld was.

We beginnen met de carrosserie. Uitgevoerd in een glanzend metallic donkerrode lak. Ooit eenmalig opnieuw gespoten in deze kleur en nog steeds in zeer goede conditie. Slechts een klein plekje vonden we op de achterklep. Ook de chromen bumpers en deurrubbers verkeren in goede staat en alle ruiten zijn nog de originele.

De onderzijde van de Camaro is degelijk en vrij van lekkage. De motor, versnellingsbak en cardan zijn allemaal mooi droog en ook in het verleden gereviseerd. Zijn originele velgen met met chromen wielranden zijn goed en de brede banden met witte letters maken het compleet. De schokbrekers zijn goed en voorzien van instelbare luchtvering.

De motorruimte is netjes en geeft een verzorgde indruk. De 5,7 liter V8 is voorzien van een Holley carburateur en een nieuw Edelbrock manifold. De motor loopt zeer mooi en krachtig en heeft door zijn standaard uitlaat een mooi V8 geluid wat niet overheersend is. Wel zo prettig op de lange afstanden. In de kofferruimte is recent een gasinstallatie geplaatst met een inhoud van 100 liter.

Het interieur is nog voorzien van zijn originele stoelbekleding en het originele eerste tapijt. Gewoon netjes en natuurlijk met wat gebruikssporen na al die jaren maar gelukkig zo hij geleverd was in 1975. De radio is wel modern en voorzien van een USB aansluiting en CD speler. 

De auto rijdt degelijk en er zijn nauwelijks kraakjes of rammeltjes waarneembaar. Duidelijk een oldtimer die altijd goed verzorgd is en waar zuinig mee omgegaan is. De algehele staat is gewoon ontzettend netjes voor een auto van 50 jaar oud!

De Camaro heeft altijd goed onderhoud gehad en is in Nederland wegenbelasting vrij. Hij is in juni 2024 nog goedgekeurd tot 14 juni 2026. Vanaf dan is de Camaro ook APK vrij in Nederland door zijn 50+ leeftijd.
