An Amazing bailer shell pendant /wealth object / pectoral , from  coastal Madang,Papua New Guinea, acquired from the late Ulrich Kortmann.,  2010. Dates early 20th. It is decorated with a handful of speldid patinated  dog teeth and  with a strand of tiny blue glass trade  beads, A really antique and museum piece. The best I ve ever had at my Pacific jewel collection See Kortmanns description:

"Excellent Coastal Madang Bailer shell pectoral. A fine example with nassa shells, super old dogs teeth, a fine string of blue trade beads and a superb nearly intact woven bush fiber necklace, circa 1930/40's. 
Shell-6¼"(16cm)"
