Bijzonder mooie originele Thonetstijl-bureaustoel of fauteuil. De stoel is 79cm hoog, de breedte is 57,5cm (van armleuning tot armleuning) en de diepte ongeveer 50cm (van rugleuning tot voorkant). De diameter van de zitting is ongeveer 47,5cm en het gewicht is 4kg.
De stoel waarop deze stoel is gebaseerd, is een Thonet bureaustoel uit het begin van de 20ste eeuw. Deze stoel is duidelijk van na de Tweede Wereldoorlog. Vermoedelijk is hij geproduceerd in de jaren '60 of '70 van de vorige eeuw. Het zou kunnen zijn gebeurd in Tsjechoslowakije, maar ook in Polen of Hongarije. Allemaal landen waar Thonet ooit een fabriek heeft gehad die na de Tweede Wereldoorlog door de communistische overheden zijn geconfisceerd. het zou ook een originele na-oorlogse Thonet-stoel kunnen zijn. Helaas is nog slechts een vaag deel van het etiket onder de zitting zichtbaar waarop slechts heel vaag het getal '82'te lezen is.

De stoel heeft nog een duidelijke Art Nouveau (Jugendstil) vormgeving, met de S-vormige verbuigingen van het hout (waarschijnlijk beukenhout), maar je zou het ook al Art Deco kunnen noemen.

Michael Thonet wordt gezien als de eerste en belangrijkte meubel-vormgever. Hij was ook de eerste die het buigen van hout met stoom dusdanig perfectioneerde dat het in de industriéle meubelfabricage kon worden toegepast. Ook bij deze stoel zijn de met stoom gebogen elementen duidelijk te zien. Dit gaf de Thonet-stoel stabiliteit. Het is opmerkelijk ook hoe stabiel deze stoel nog is ondanks een leeftijd van zo'n 50 tot 60 jaar!

Deze stoel heeft slechts logische gebruikssporen en is hij nog steeds bijzonder stabiel. Ook de webbing is nog in bijzonder goede staat en nauwelijks doorgezeten. Verder is bijzonder dat de zitting nog écht is ingevlochten en dat geen gebruik is gemaakt van een webbing-mat. Deze stoel is dus niet alleen nog een confortabel en functioneel meubelstuk, maar daarbij ook een sieraad in elk interieur en zeker een praatstuk!!

De stoel wordt zorgvuldig ingepakt en verzekerd verzonden.
