Daimler DS420 VandenPlas, van de British Leyland factory

De Daimler bevind zicht in een gebruikte staat, geen concourswagen maar echt een gebruikerswagen. 

Het interieur is volledig nieuw gestoffeerd en ziet er geweldig uit. Samen met het houtwerk een fantastische combinatie. En het privacy glaswerk is ook zeer mooi. Aan het interieur is weinig op te merken.

Motorisch is de Daimler in rijdende, remmende en schakelende staat. De motorruimte kan wel een cosmetische schoonmaakbeurt gebruiken. Af en toe, heeft de daimler geen spanning en start hij niet, wanneer een nieuwe accu geplaatst word. loopt hij wel. Ook zou onderhoud, denk aan olie, bougie's en luchtfilter geen overbodige luxe zijn. Er is een externe brandstofpomp gemonteerd, waarschijnlijk heeft de originele het begeven.

Banden en remmen zijn ook in prima staat. Met mooie white walls.

De carrosserie is ooit eens aangepakt maar vertoont her en der krassen, en aan de achterzijde wat blaasjes onder de lak. De chromen bumpers hebben wat vlekken en zouden eens opgeknapt mogen worden. De meeste sierstrippen zijn netjes. Het lakwerk is ooit opnieuw gespoten maar verwacht geen concours-lak.

De bodem heeft behoorlijk wat aandacht nodig, zie hiervoor de laatste serie foto's

De Daimler word geleverd met Canadese papieren, waarmee in heel europa een kenteken registratie kan worden verkregen.

Voor een goed beeld van de auto is het verstandig eens te komen kijken bij ons in de showroom in Dedemsvaart.
