Eleonore Floret

Vincent Decat est un artiste-designer basé à Paris, diplômé de la Design Academy d’Eindhoven, qui explore les frontières entre design et sculpture. Il conçoit la durabilité d’un objet non pas uniquement à travers ses matériaux, mais avant tout par le lien émotionnel que l'on tisse avec lui. En rendant ses pièces presque vivantes, ils deviennent des compagnons dont il faut prendre soin, chérir et garder dans le temps.

Certains composants industriels présentent des qualités esthétiques que nous négligeons parfois lorsque nous nous concentrons uniquement sur leur fonction. Notre perception change une fois sortis de leur contexte et introduits dans un cadre différent.
La console S-400 prend naissance dans l’assemblage d’un disque de frein de moto recyclé, qui fait office d’élément central de connexion entre différents composants tels que des charnières de porte et un hublot.

NB : Le verre contient 2 micro rayures très peu visibles.
