Pair of Halorites macer Fossils – Norian Stage, Late Triassic (Timor, Indonesia)

This remarkable matched pair of Halorites macer ammonoid fossils comes from the Norian stage of the Late Triassic period and was discovered in the Bobonaro Scaly Clay Formation of Noe Bihati, Timor, Indonesia. These specimens are cut and polished to reveal beautifully crystallized internal chambers, lined with fine mineral growths that catch the light with subtle brilliance.

The shell interiors show clear septa and well-defined whorls, partially filled with dark druzy crystals that contrast against the soft beige and ochre matrix. These features make them as visually striking as they are scientifically valuable.

The left half weighs 220 grams and measures approximately 11.4 by 9.5 by 2 cm, while the right half weighs 225 grams and measures around 10.9 by 9.5 by 2 cm. Both originate from the Bobonaro Scaly Clay formation, dating back to the Late Triassic (Norian), and were collected in Noe Bihati, Timor, Indonesia. Acrylic display stands are included.

This is a rare opportunity to own a complete and beautifully preserved ammonoid fossil pair from a classic Triassic locality.
