Collier-reliquaire pectoral chrétien éthiopien, XIXᵉ siècle.

Grand pendentif quadrangulaire en métal argenté (alliage cuivreux), orné d’une plaque repoussé et partiellement dorée représentant une figure de saint (probablement un moine ou saint ermite), auréolé et vêtu d’une tunique monastique. La scène est encadrée d’un décor de pointillés et de quatre cabochons de verre rouge aux angles.

La partie inférieure comporte quatre chaînes pendantes, terminées par des plaques découpées et martelées, ornées de petits pendants circulaires mobiles servant à créer un effet sonore et visuel.

La suspension est une chaîne plate composée d’anneaux ronds entrelacés, typique des productions artisanales d’Éthiopie.

Au revers du pendentif figure une ancienne inscription d’inventaire « SW 1679 », probablement d’un collectionneur ou d’un dépôt muséal.

	•	Matériau : alliage cuivreux argenté, dorure partielle, verres rouges
	•	Dimensions : pendentif 6,5 cm x 6,5 cm, chaîne 23 cm
	•	État : patine ancienne, usures et oxydation, manques au décor, mais ensemble resté complet et homogène
