A complete and finely preserved limited edition set of 12 sterling silver gilt spoons, issued in London in 1975 by John Pinches (Medallists) Ltd.

This prestigious set was created in collaboration with the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB) and limited worldwide to only 1,000 sets. Each certificate is individually signed by John Pinches, Managing Director of the firm.

Each spoon measures 13.5 cm in length, with a total combined weight of 316 g (approx. 26 g per spoon). The set remains in its original fitted wooden case, accompanied by the complete set of certificates, all in excellent condition.

The spoons celebrate Britain’s rich avian heritage: each features a gilt cameo medallion relief depicting one of 12 rare or iconic bird species, with the bird’s name engraved on the reverse of the handle.
