An antique travel correspondence box with fitted interior and fold out, tooled, dark green leather writing slope. Made in the United Kingdom in the late 19th to early 20th century. 

The exterior is in dark hardwood with inlaid details to the top and front. It is in lovely condition with some very minor age related marks. It comes with the original key although it is not functioning correctly.  

The fitted interior contains a number of stationery sorting trays and components as well as two pull out drawers.  It comes with the original inkwell and some writing implements made of bone as detailed in the photos.  The fold down writing surface is leather covered in dark green with a gold outline and in great condition. 

A stand out piece for your home or work office or library. Rare in this condition.
