Description from the seller
Claudio Rolfi, born in Genoa in 1960. From his early works one can notice the great fascination that Italian art of the 20th century has been able to exert on him, with great masters such as Casorati, Morandi, Carrà and de Chirico. In his forty-year artistic career there are more than seventy solo exhibitions and countless artistic events, including TV programs entirely dedicated to him. The artistic work of Maestro Rolfi has been discussed by the most important journals and TV and radio broadcasters. Among the most notable events is the large exhibition Centoeventigiorni held in Santa Maria degli Angeli, Rome in 2002, inaugurated in the presence of Mrs. Franca Ciampi and Walter Veltroni; the exhibition at the Dopmiziano museum in Rome; the solo show at Mondadori in Milan; the exhibition at the Palazzo della Cultura in Reggio Calabria and at BAM Baveno Arte Maggiore presented by Vittorio Sgarbi. The Maestro’s paintings have been used for about 6 years as set designs for Rai 3’s GEO program. His works are present in many Italian collections, in the United States, Japan, Canada and throughout the rest of Europe. The work is one of the numerous still-life compositions of objects to which the Maestro has devoted much of his artistic work and which have fascinated him since youth thanks to the study of masters such as Casorati and Morandi. The work is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.
