Zeer zeldzaam, dit prachtige kastje uit 1953. Een stukje ontwerp geschiedenis.

In eerste instantie lijkt het wellicht niet heel bijzonder, maar gemaakt door de gerenommeerde Nederlands meubelontwerper en architect Heinrich Wilhelm Christian (Hein) Stolle (Den Haag, 20 april 1924 – Amsterdam, 8 augustus 2006). Stolle studeerde aan de Koninklijke Academie van Beeldende Kunsten in Den Haag. Hij kreeg daar opleiding van onder andere Cor Alons en Hendrik Jan Brusse.
Door hem ontworpen meubelen werden opgenomen in de collectie Goed Wonen (1947 voor De Bijenkorf), Ons Huis Ons Thuis (OHOT), Metz & Co, Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam en Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen. Op internet is veel meer te vinden over zijn interessante visie en ontwerpen.

Dit kastje was n de jaren 50 te koop bij de Bijenkorf. Simpel, elegant en mooie details. Zoals het sluiting mechanische maar ook de ronde opening om het kastje te openen. Wat kleine gebruikers sporen, passend bij leeftijd en op de foto's.
