Toucado Minangkabau Suntiang

Um toucado Minangkabau Vintage de meados do século, da Sumatra Ocidental.

O toucado (Suntiang) é feito à mão numa das aldeias de Sumatra Ocidental, em folha de alumínio leve e missangas. As pequenas flores decorativas de mola foram concebidos para brilharem em movimento, sendo normalmente usados pela noiva durante toda a cerimónia e durante os eventos noturnos. Podem pesar mais de 3 quilos e as peças mais antigas eram muito mais pesadas. 
O povo Minangkabau (que significa: búfalo de água vitorioso) é um povo matrilinear e estes trajes de casamento são transmitidos de mãe para filha.
