Wall-mounted Luggage Rack – France, 1950s

Manufactured in France during the 1950s, this wall-mounted luggage rack is constructed from lightweight aluminium alloy with a polished brass finish and black enamel detailing.
Originally designed for hotels and train compartments, it includes three upper rails for storage and four fixed hooks below for hanging garments or accessories.
Minor enamel wear and light patina consistent with age, yet the structure remains solid and fully functional.

Its combination of brass finish and lightweight alloy construction illustrates the practical elegance of post-war French industrial design. A refined example of mid-century Art Moderne aesthetics, suitable for contemporary interiors. The piece requires wall mounting using hook-type brackets or wall anchors (not included), as was typical for this model in hotel and railway use.
