On offer is an old fine full sized bohemian master violin, made and labeled: "Josephus Rauch me fecit Comotovii An 1785". The instrument is ready to play with grafted scroll, bushed peg-holes, good ebony set up, master made bridge (E. Wünnenberg) and new strings. Many old professionally repaired cracks. The tone is powerful, deep, rich, clear as a bell and focused with many colors to work with. It is responsive and even in all ranges. The violin has one piece back made from beautiful softly flamed maple, fixed with two wooden nails; the table is likewise matching of high quality, straight high grained spruce. 

The whole length of the violin is 58,5 cm and the back 35,3 cm.
The width of the upper bouts: 15,7 cm; middle bouts: 11 cm; lower bouts: 20 cm.
