Splendido e raro Leone della serie Rimini, disegnato da Aldo Londi nel 1959 e prodotto ancora oggi. Esemplare raro degli anni Settanta marcato Flavia Montelupo.

Nato nel 1911 a Montelupo Fiorentino, Aldo Londi ha vissuto una vita all’insegna dell’arte: è stato pittore e scultore, ma soprattutto ceramista. Per più di cinquant’anni ha collaborato con Bitossi, dapprima come direttore artistico e poi come collaboratore.

Competenza ceramica e sensibilità artistica sono state le sue prerogative. Unite alla predisposizione alla ricerca, gli hanno permesso di intraprendere esplorazioni coraggiose e definire un nuovo lessico espressivo.

L’iconica serie Rimini Blu, prodotta ininterrottamente dal 1959, si distingue per la texture della superficie. La decorazione, composta da segni che creano un girotondo fantastico di elementi astratto-geometrici fissati sotto il blu o il bianco, ricorda i giochi di luce sulla superficie del mare.

Marchio Flavia Montelupo alla base, negli anni Settanta infatti la Bitossi cambia nome in Flavia Montelupo.
