Superbe coffret d’écriture d’époque victorienne, en bois de rose (ou palissandre), avec renforts et médaillon en laiton. Ce type de coffret était utilisé au XIXe siècle pour l’écriture et le rangement des accessoires de correspondance.

L’intérieur, gainé de cuir noir, présente des compartiments pour l’encre, les plumes et autres fournitures d’écriture. Le couvercle s’ouvre pour révéler une surface d’écriture inclinée et un espace de rangement dissimulé sous le plateau.

Détails :

Époque : XIXe siècle (vers 1850–1880)

Matière : bois de rose (ou palissandre) et laiton

Intérieur : cuir noir (usures et patine d’usage)

État : bon état général, avec traces du temps et petits manques dus à l’âge, serrure présente mais clé manquante.
Remarques :
Bel objet de collection, typique des coffrets d’écriture de voyage anglais. Peut être restauré ou exposé tel quel pour son charme ancien et sa belle patine.
