Miguel Berrocal (1933-2006)
A Spanish sculptor and artist, also known as the sculptor of puzzles due to the unique construction of his works.
From a young age, he was involved with combinatorial sculptures that could be disassembled and later became a signature element of his entire body of work.
When he traveled to the Venice Biennale in 1962, he discovered a small foundry in Verona that was willing to realize his ideas.
This marked the beginning of a development through which Verona and its foundries became one of the most important centers of contemporary art casting.
In the years 1962/63, he exhibited in Paris and New York and was included in the MoMA collection.
This pendant originates from his time in Italy and measures approximately 60 × 20 × 15 mm.
