A humorous and contemporary reinterpretation of an iconic historical scene: Mickey Mouse as Napoleon Bonaparte, portrayed in the solemn style of period paintings. The work plays on the contrast between classical painting language and the intrusion of a pop icon, creating a visual paradox that combines history, pop culture, and parody. Created in 2025, it is part of a series already sold out, dedicated to the irreverent reimagining of collective symbols.


This new work stems from the creativity of the French artist Louis Dourand, known for having collaborated in the past with Santicri, in an artistic dialogue that has managed to blend different visual languages into a shared expressive vision. Santicri – with whom Louis Dourand has collaborated on several occasions – is one of the most prominent contemporary artists on the international scene.
He exhibited his works in prestigious venues such as Palazzo Grillo in Genoa in 2022 and the International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF) in New York in 2023.
