AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Offered in very good condition, an original Thonet Art Deco serving trolley from the 1920s in a very rich warm brown color.

Very artisanal craftsmanship - high-quality material - 3 layers - root wood veneer
ICM solid - warm honey color

Good quality batch of classic serving trolley with a classic shape and very rich warm brown colour. At the beginning of the 20th century, there were two (among others) competing bentwood producers, J&J Kohn and Mundus. Both produced chairs in various factories throughout the Austro-Hungarian Empire. Undoubtedly due to a combination of commercial pressure from the market-leading producer Thonet and the political upheaval of the time, the firms merged in 1914. This serving trolley is from this 'joint' producer before it merged with Thonet in 1922, so it is very early chairs. A beautiful surviving and fascinating trolley with three storeys.

Also usable as a chic cabinet or small table.
