This exquisite 19th-century reliquary cross is crafted from olive wood and mother of pearl, showcasing intricate craftsmanship and meticulous attention to detail. The cross features a beautifully detailed silvered crucifix mounted on a mother-of-pearl inlay, framed by geometric olive wood patterns and delicate decorative elements. Such an exceptional level of artistry elevates this piece above others of its kind.

On the reverse side, the cross contains relics of the 14 Stations of the Passion of Christ, symbolizing the final journey of Jesus to Calvary. This rare inclusion adds profound spiritual significance to the cross, making it not only a devotional object but also a historical artifact connected to the Christian faith.

These reliquary crosses were traditionally given to pilgrims as a blessing upon completing their pilgrimage, particularly to holy sites such as Jerusalem. They served as both a sacred memento of their spiritual journey and a tangible connection to the Passion of Christ.
