Old german 4/4 violin, made in Mittenwald, labelled: Josef Klotz in Mittenwald anno 1795.
The instrument remains in a very good ready to play condition with no cracks. New rosewood set up, new bridge and new strings.
The ribs, scroll, one-piece back made of beautiful softly flamed maple.
The top of straight high grained spruce.
The original golden amber varnish remains in excellent condition.
LOB measures 360 mm. The total length of the violin is 593 mm. The width of the upper bouts: 160 mm; middle bouts: 110 mm; lower bouts: 200 mm.
