/// "The dramatic lighting and tenebrism evoke Caravaggio immediately, yet the urban iconography dismantles any sacred reading. This hybrid figure, half baroque saint and half street-culture persona, creates a sharp parody of the clash between devotional and hardcore aesthetics. The piece reframes the classical portrait as a symbol of contemporary identity."///

● About the Artist:
Original work by Nando López, a digital artist based in Barcelona. Trained in advertising design, he began his career in agencies and design studios before fully transitioning into fashion illustration, collaborating with internationally recognized brands.
● About the Dikhotomy Project:
For the past four years, Dikhotomy has been an ongoing series of digital collages and illustrations where classical art and contemporary culture collide unapologetically. Fragments of art history blend with pop elements, visual irony, and cultural critique to provoke both reflection and amusement.
Each piece is the result of a creative clash between handcrafted digital editing and AI-powered tools (midjourney and recraft) merging the human and the technological. Influenced by pop art and urban art, Dikhotomy is a deliberate parody of the art world and an invitation to view it from a new perspective.
