Laurent – A Contemporary Classic in Light

The Laurent pendant lamp is a sculptural expression of light and craftsmanship. With its clean, modern silhouette and hand-shaped aluminum shade, it bridges the gap between traditional techniques and contemporary design. The soft, powder-coated finish brings character and warmth, while its form makes it a bold yet versatile addition to any space.

Originally designed to create atmosphere in cafés and open interiors, Laurent is both practical and expressive. Its wide-open shade gently diffuses light, offering a perfect balance between focus and ambience—ideal over a dining table, in a kitchen, or clustered in larger social spaces.

Each piece is crafted by local artisans, spun and polished by hand, then finished with a high-quality, durable powder coating. The visible grain of the aluminum gives the surface a lively texture, subtly catching light and adding depth to its tone.

Whether in soft powder pink, satin black, or a breezy sea-glass blue, Laurent finds harmony in groups or stands confidently on its own. It’s a lighting object designed to be noticed—and lived with.

Note from the Designer
The shape of the Laurent lamp draws subtle inspiration from classic Scandinavian pendant lighting—but reimagined through a slightly more industrial lens. A keen eye will recognize the reference, yet its distinct interpretation avoids direct imitation.

Laurent was first introduced over a decade ago and quickly found its way into a variety of public interiors—from cafés to a luxury chain of bespoke perfumeries. The design has aged gracefully, proving that true character in lighting doesn't fade with time.


This particular piece carries a rich history.
As a post-exhibition showpiece, it has accompanied us through some of Europe’s most renowned design fairs—beginning with HULE’s debut at Warsaw Home Fair in 2017, followed by appearances at Maison & Objet in Paris, Heim & Handwerk in Munich, and most recently at Blickfang in Zurich.

Despite its extensive journey, the lamp remains in excellent condition, showing no visible signs of wear—ready to become part of a new home or collection.


HULE is an independent design brand based in Warsaw, where all pieces are produced locally with a deep respect for materials, function, and form.
