Beschrijving van de verkoper
On offer is a classic Miranda D, a precision-built 35mm Single Lens Reflex (SLR) camera manufactured by the Miranda Camera Co. in Japan during the early 1960s. Miranda cameras were renowned for their high-quality engineering and unique features, such as the interchangeable viewfinder system.
This model is a true "workhorse" of the era, featuring a front-mounted shutter release button—a signature Miranda design element. It comes equipped with a fast Miranda 50mm f/1.9 standard lens and a matching silver metal lens hood, which gives the set an iconic vintage look.
Technical Specifications:
Camera Type: 35mm Single Lens Reflex (SLR).
Film Type: 35mm (standard 135 film).
Lens: Miranda 1:1.9 f=50mm.
Shutter: Focal plane shutter with speeds from 1s to 1/500s plus B.
Viewfinder: Interchangeable eye-level pentaprism.
Features: Front shutter release, cold shoe for accessories, and dual sync ports.
Origin: Japan.
Condition Report:
Cosmetic: The camera is in good aesthetic condition for its age. The chrome finishes show some typical patina and light wear, notably around the advance lever. The leatherette body covering is well-preserved.
Optical: The 50mm lens glass is clear with no heavy scratches or fungus visible. The pentaprism viewfinder remains functional and relatively bright.
Mechanical: The shutter fires and the film advance mechanism operates smoothly. Aperture blades in the lens are responsive.
Note: As with all precision vintage equipment, a professional CLA (Clean, Lubricate, Adjust) is recommended for optimal performance if intended for regular use.
