1951 Jaguar XK120 Fixed-Head Coupe - Documented Nut & Bolt Restoration
Jaguar XK120 Fixed-Head Coupe in silver over a black leather interior. The car retains its original 3.4-liter double-overhead-camshaft six-cylinder engine, making 160 horsepower from the factory.
The vehicle was upgraded under prior ownership for improved driving dynamics, including a newer 5-speed transmission, front disc brakes, electric engine cooling, and a generator installation. The well-documented restoration, captured in 150 photos, is included in the sale.
The original matching-numbers transmission, currently not installed in the car, and a spare wheel are included in the sale, as are invoices totalling €78500 over the last 20 years of ownership.
The paint is in excellent condition, with no rust or blemishes. The panel gaps are consistent and uniform throughout the car. The chrome and trim are in excellent condition, as seen in the photos.
The wire wheels are also in excellent condition. All lights and instrumentation are in good working condition. The interior is in excellent condition, with minimal signs of use. The carpet, dash, door inserts, instruments, and gauges are in excellent condition.
The underside is in exceptional condition for a car this vintage.
The engine is running smoothly and strongly, with no issues. There is no smoke at startup or overheating. The brakes are in good condition, and the car stops with authority, with no noise or vibration. The five-speed manual transmission shifts smoothly and without issues.
The car is out of long-term Danish ownership and has Danish papers and registration. The vehicle has passed the Danish Technical Inspection (MOT/TUV/Syn) and will not require re-inspection until 2027. The vehicle just underwent a full inspection and service in preparation for this auction and is in excellent mechanical and cosmetic condition.
