The result was the legendary Datsun 240Z, introduced in 1969—a car that proved Japan had arrived in the global sports car market.

By the mid-1970s, the landscape had changed. Stricter emissions regulations and increasing demand for comfort led to the evolution of the Z-series. In 1975, the Datsun 280Z was introduced, maintaining the sporty DNA of its predecessor while adding refinement and usability.

Under the hood, the 280Z features a robust 2.8-liter inline-six engine with fuel injection, delivering smoother performance and improved reliability.
