Overview
A striking Soviet Great Patriotic War themed pocket watch with strong military commemorative character. The front cover is decorated with a bold red star and emblem, while the back cover bears the inscription Velikaya Otechestvennaya 1941–1945. With its large case and richly decorated dial, this is a highly displayable pocket watch with strong historical atmosphere, its main appeal lying in its distinctive Soviet military commemorative theme.
Technical and condition details
The pocket watch is functioning normally and has not been tested over a long period.
Diameter is approximately 49.79 mm. Weight is approximately 79.26 grams.
The watch has a hunter case. The front cover is decorated with a red star emblem, a central figure motif, and CCCP lettering, giving it a very recognizable military commemorative appearance. The back cover is engraved with Velikaya Otechestvennaya 1941–1945 together with a star, banners, and laurel motifs, reinforcing the Soviet Great Patriotic War theme.
The dial has an ornate embossed design with Roman numerals and a subsidiary seconds layout, creating a very distinctive visual presence. The small seconds register is marked Molnija and 15 kamney. The movement is mechanical and visually appealing in its construction.
Overall condition is good, with normal age related wear and minor signs of use. There is light wear around the case edges, bezel, and some surface areas, but the watch remains visually strong and very collectible in presentation.
