An original antique sextant manufactured by Negretti & Zambra, London, a renowned British maker of scientific and nautical instruments active during the 19th century.

This finely crafted maritime navigation instrument was used to measure the angle between celestial objects and the horizon, enabling sailors to determine their position at sea. The sextant features a beautifully engraved arc scale and retains its original patina, reflecting its historical authenticity.
The instrument is housed in its original wooden case lined with red velvet.
